Hard Drive Failure

Hi,

We have received reports of a hard drive failing in one of our servers, therefore we are moving all accounts on that server to a temporary server while it gets fixed.

If you experience any problems due to the move, please open a support ticket and include your domain name and username and full details of the problem experienced.

We are sorry about this, but feel it is the best move to minimise downtime and data loss.

Please note: This move will take place straight away.

Server IP Changes and SSL Issue
Hi,


Last night we changed the IP's of the servers to new ones, this will enable us to provide you with a better service.

However please note that the servers might be up/down throughout the day while the changes take affect.

This change is also affecting the SSL websites, therefore you might not be able to connect to a website with https://

Changing it to http:// will temporary fix this problem, but we do not advise sending secure information over a non secure connection.

View Invoice showing a blank page

We have been alerted about a problem with the view invoice in the client area,

The problem is that when you click on View Invoice it will only load a blank page, therefore while we are working on a fix for this please send your invoice payment via Paypal or Nochex to: sales@design-a-host.com

Please remember to include the invoice number with your payment so we can mark you invoice as paid.


We will update this announcement as soon as we have found a fix for the above error.

Server Hard Drive Failure - 87.117.224.130 - UPDATE
We can confirm that the server with the crashed hard disk drive has been restored to full working order.

This morning the Hard Drive on server 87.117.224.130 failed.
Please expect some downtime whilst we get a new one in place and everything setup.
This should not affect any accounts on that server as they are located on a seperate Hard Drive.
For more information please feel free to open a support ticket, we will update this announcement ASAP.

DDOS Attack Update...

We can confirm that the DDOS attack has now stopped and all services are back to normal.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack.

We have experienced some minor downtime today as two of our Servers had to be taken down, due to a continuous high volume Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack.

Whilst our servers are back online, they may have to be taken down again for a short period if the DDOS Attack starts up again, this will continue untill the attacks stop.

We can assure you that the DDOS Attack is not just affecting our servers, it seems that it is affecting quite a few servers around the globe.

Important Announcement Regarding Network Maintenance

Hi,

We are going to be performing routing network and power distribution maintenance between the hours of: 00:30 and 06:00 between Thursday 2nd November 2006 and Wednesday 8th November 2006.

The downtime should last no longer than one hour whilst we perform some necessary changes to our network, the work is being undertaken outside of core business hours in order to minimise disruption, I would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

It may be the case that a server is rebooted in this time whilst we replace the APC PDUs we are currently using, if normal service has not resumed by 06:00 on any given day please do not hesitate to submit a support ticket.

If you have any questions regarding the maintenance, please feel free to open a support ticket.

Server Error
Today we had a problem with server 87.117.224.130. This had caused all accounts to be lost, however we re-installed 99% of the lost accounts whithin 5 minutes. If you find your account is offline still, please contact us straight away with your domain and username.
